HIRING THE CHOIR

Provided we can fit it into our schedule then the Choir will respond positively to requests to perform within the Lancaster District for both public concerts and events and for private occasions. The Choir performs at events it organises itself during the year to raise funds for charities and to generate income to cover the running costs of the Choir. Therefore it is important if you wish to arrange for the Choir to perform for you that early contact is made - see the Choir Personnel link.

Examples of the types of event that the Choir has sung at are as follows:

Concerts
Massed Choir Events
Music Festivals
Charity Events
Birthdays
Weddings
Anniversaries
Funerals

In assorted locations:

Church/Chapel
(Village) Hall
Hotel
School
Sports Club
Library
Shopping Centre
Concert Venue
Crematorium

There are two main ways the Choir can be hired for an event:

1. The hirer pays the full standard fee* and sets their own price for their event, paying the Choir from the proceeds
2. The hirer approaches the Choir for a charity event and agreement is reached between the hirer and the Choir as to the charges to be made and the disposition of income as appropriate.

* The full standard fee for hiring the Choir is set at the AGM in January for the coming year.
